This guarantees high stability in samples and provides a Statistical Internal Quality Control. They can accommodate any size of blood collection tube, thus avoiding waste, storage and potentially infectious material. Results are available in only 20 sec. with a special hydrodynamic system (CPSTM) and the resulting data are well correlated to the Westergren Method (0.98 correlation coefficient from Romero, Clin. Chem. Lab. Med. 2003) since the quantitative capillary photometry guarantees an optimized correlation with the sedimentation of red cells. TEST-1 TH Alifax presents another absolute novelty with TEST-1 TH, the new automated analyser for determination of the Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate that can process the ESR test directly from the original cell blood counter rack in connection with LIS. The new features are an attractive design and user-friendly maintenance that is provided by a front door for easy access to needles and the waste tank. In particular, quick and simplified needle replacement as well as systematic auto-washing guarantees continuous control of instrument functionality.
